It's Kill or be Killed for us...

Wasn't in the best mood when I was drawing this...
Don't know if any of you can tell...

So, I decided to do something a little bit dark for Phantasie Atoll.
This little black and white mini comic features two members of the Beloved Bastards doing what I could only describe as a shake down to some random whore for "protection money".
As you can say, it didn't end very well for Dalia.
Mainly I wanted to draw this picture to get some of the roughness of the week out of my system, and to show what Zack and Zeke have to do on a daily basis as a job.
So yeah, that's all I have to say...

Zack's Notes:
You know... As an assassin, I know that I'll have to eventually kill someone, it's my job...
However, if I can avoid it, I'd rather let them die via poison as it's be harder for someone to know who really killed that person.
But my pattern Zeke on the other hand, I think he takes alot of joy in killing his victims...
During last week me and Zeke had to go visit a local brothel owner's wife, Dalia as we had to "shake her down" to pay up for her protection money to the Beloved Bastards.
I simply tied her up with my webbing, but Zeke went out of her way to beat Dalia down while she was all tied up and couldn't fight back.
I had to look away as he just beat her down into the ground, tossing her into the bar, slamming her against the tables and chairs...
After she finally could take no more and started making threats Zeke just takes out his sword and pushes it right through Dalia's stomach.
I could feel her blood splatter on my mask and clothes as her lifeless corpse fell to the ground and bled out...
I tried to call Zeke out for breaking his promise to me on not killing Dalia, but he just reminded me that in the world we live in, that for us non-mammalian Beastkin have life the hardest.
I hate to agree with him, but he has a point saddly...
I just wish it didn't have to be that way, all I want is for my family to life a normal life without having to be stepped on...
But what can I do, I need the money, and I'll never make enough working an honest life...
...I guess it really is a kill or be killed world...

Zeke's Notes:

Why is it that the Beloved Bastards have sunk down so low to the point where we have to perform these wasteful shake downs to get back protection money to fund own weaponry and armor.
I know the life of an assassin isn't a pretty one, but I'd like to think me and Zack could be doing better things than this...
So Dalia is the wife of some shithead who she doesn't know has been cheating on her with other women and the occasional fruitcake femboy that crosses his way...
I was already in a foul mood, so I decided to make this little run in with Dalia quick.
As Zack webbed her up, I just smashed the bitch around her own place until she felt like talking, it seemed like she was rather use to the abuse saddly.
I was glad when she started finally talking, but then she had to make the stupid mistake of trying to make empty threats against a group of assassins...
I've taken far too much shit takes to mammalian Beastkin and my tolerance for them is incredibly low, so I decided to end her miserable life once and for all.
I could see it bothered Zack how I just blatenling killed her there and then, but it's not like leaving her alive was going to make things better, then more people would end up having to die.
If I told Zack once, I'll tell him one hundred times...
This world wasn't build for our kind, and the only way for us to survive, it's kill or be killed...
I hate having to put the kid through all of this for the sake of his family's wellbeing, but he has to learn this lesson sooner or later...
