Description

For those who ever wondered if I could Anime, then the answer is yes, I just choose not to.

Oh boy, this description is going to be a long one.
So, first of, this picture is a birthday present to my dear friend :icondeathwatch116: whose birthday has just passed this November 23rd.
Since he was one of the two people who was kind enough to give me a gift over the internet, I figured I'd give him something nice too in return.
He likes alot of things, but I picked a Fire Emblem themed picture as I think it was the first thing we truly bonded over, then and I got him hooked to the series ever since.
This is a thank you to all the kindness I've received from him, and I'm glad I got to meet him, because the state of mind I was in before I met him wasn't good at all.
I know I can be "Unpleasant" to deal with sometimes, but you'll all have to thank Perry for slow rebuilding my trust in people and keeping me from turning into a complete asshole.

First a brief background on Fire Emblem.
Now, Fire Emblem is a strategic RPG that allows you to control many units in a single turn to defeat your opponent.
The system has a "rock, paper, scissors'' type of mentality.
For example as sword are strong against axes, but as weak to spears.
However, as fun as that might sound the games where only known to Japan.
The games weren't released outside of Japan because the creators thought the punishing difficulty of permanently losing characters in the game should they die, with no way to bring them back to life would be a turnoff to the western gamers.
However, thanks to the inclusion of Marth and Roy in Super Smash Bros. Melee, the west's interest and demand was peaked in Fire Emblem.
Oddly enough, much like the Final Fantasy series and it's numbering problem, when the west got "Fire Emblem" for the Game Boy Advance, it was actually the 7th game in the series.
Since it's release, Fire Emblem has seen quite alot of success in the west, especially the last game Fire Emblem Awakening, which was the best selling and best received Fire Emblem game to date.

This is a picture of a character from the upcoming Fire Emblem game, Fire Emblem Fates.
Rinkah is one of the character you'll team up with in the Birthright version of Fire Emblem Fates as you met her early in Chapter 2, and she eventually joins the Hoshidian Army in Chapter 4.
Her class is an Oni Savage from the Fire Tribe, and is the head chieftain's daughter, as she can use clubs and axes.
When Rinkah changes her class, she can eventually learn how to use spellbooks or katanas.
Now, Rinkah might have one of the more "simple" designs on the Hoshido side of characters, but she has alot of things I like in an anime girl.
Lovely dark skin, wavy white or red hair, deep red eyes, a nice amount of muscles without going overboard, and has a tough tomboyish personality, but is very kind and sweet on the inside despite her tough outer shell.
On top of that, Rinkah can use alot of weapons that I favored in Awakening, not to mention she can learn those same skills.
So before the game even hit the west, me and Perry have dubbed her "Waifu" we were just smitten too hard by this beautiful lady.
Yes, you can get marry to other characters and marry your army off to each other in Fire Emblem Awakening, hell you even have kids.
This was probably the one thing people liked the most in Awakening, as your played controlled avatar (Robin) could marry their opposite sex members of the army, Robin is the only character that could marry anyone in the army, as some character have limits on who they have interest in.
Me, Perry, and a majority of Fire Emblem fans refer to Awakening as "The Shippening".
Fire Emblem Fates takes it to a new level as the avatar (Corrin) can marry anyone in the army again, but this time gender isn't a barrier in the way, which means gay couples are a thing in Fates.
I only mention this because when this info first dropped, gay marriage was still illegal in the United States, so when the word spread it was a very progressive step on Nintendo's part.
So Fates is "The Shippening Part 2: Electric Boogaloo".

But enough of that, now for that picture finally.
Since Rinkah is an Oni, I figured it'd be interesting and sexy to see her in the "traditional" Oni getup, which is usually just a skinned Tiger bar and loincloth.
Arm gloves and stockings were just something I added to add more cuteness to the picture.
The reason Rinkah is on the bed is because there is a feature in Fates called "My Castle" which let's you custom your HQ.
In the Castle, there is "Your Room" where you can talk to your troops, but mainly, it's where you'll go to up their affection level with you by touching them, talking to them, and eventually... Other things...
Not to mention you can give them gifts, clothes to wear, and look at them in their undies.
So yeah, let's just say Rinkah has gotten to the S-Rank level of support and got all dressed up nice for Corrin for sexy times.
For Corrin I tried my best to make their gender ambiguous, as like I said, gender for Corrin doesn't matter, and I wanted it to look like Rinkah's lover could be male or female depending on who was looking at it.
Sadly I still think Corrin ended up looking too masculine for my liking, but I guess that doesn't really matter in the end.
Coloring on this picture didn't take nearly as long as I thought it would, I did put a tad more effort in the shading to make it more dynamic this time around, but I did use some marker to make things go by a bit faster.
I might have made Rinkah's body the slightest more curvy then it should be, but frankly, I don't care if that wrong, because It's my Waifu...
The muscles I think look nice and toned, and the Oni bikini turned out better than expected.
I just had to end this little mini comic with a romantic kiss at the end, because I'm just such a fucking hopeless romantic I suppose.

Overall, I'm very proud of this piece, as it's nice to know I can still emulate the anime style even it's called for.
And I know Perry will get an absolute kick out of this picture, sadly I think it's not going to help his dying anticipation of Fire Emblem Fates' North American release date of February 19th.
But Soon... Rinkah will be his... and mine.
...Soon...
