Siren The Milotic

God I had to force myself to get this one finished...
Now that I'm finally well enough to draw again, I decided to draw another member on Lloyd's Pokemon Team, because I'd like to have all of them finished before the end of the year.
So this is his Milotic, Siren, and she is a shiny Milotic too.
Now I know that shiny Milotic don't have dark skin, but I'd like to save my peach for other pictures, mainly when coloring in humans and Tenka's softer scale colors, so I'm picky on who gets what use with my colored pencils, so sue me...
As I stated early, I didn't have the greatest time with this one, I was still kinda sick working on her, and I hadn't gotten to draw anything for the whole week.
So I was pretty anxious to draw, but everything I did just wasn't working.
Getting increasingly frustrated I just picked a pose that wasn't going to drive me insane and got this as an end result.
Not to mention having to work with that face by making it looking more sea serpent-ish got my nerves in a bunch.
But after some tweaking I got it to work in my favor, I know Milotic is supposed to be "The most beautiful Pokemon in the world" (to whose standards I don't know...) but I wanted to keep that snake feeling in the face, while still being able to make her look attractive.
I think Siren's clothes were another thing I had to think about when it came to design, seeing how she is a Water Type, and she lives in the Hoenn region, I doubt she'd wear much clothing.
So I gave her... this thing... I'm not sure just what I decided on making her wear, it's like a mesh slingshot bikini I guess; it fits so that's all that matters.
Overall, I think Siren turned out decently, and she looks quite beautiful.

Lloyd's Notes:
You know, they say that Milotic are supposed to be the most beautiful Pokemon in the world, able to calm any conflict with just their looks alone.
I have a feeling that this isn't the case with Siren, she can act like a damn diva sometimes, probably doesn't help that she holds the title of "Most Beautiful" in the local Hoenn contests.
Oh well she may let that go to her head sometimes, but at least she takes her ranger duties seriously and puts them before anything else.
I remember when I first met Siren, sadly she wasn't in nearly as pretty as she was back then, not that she could help it, Team Aqua ran her ragged...
Roughly at 5:30 PM the Pokemon Ranger HQ was pinged with an emergency call from the Weather Institute on Route 119.
Apparently Team Aqua was spotted in the general area doing some nasty things like stealing Pokemon and doing massive fishing in an area where fishing wasn't allowed.
Me and my team rushed over at once to put a stop to their plans.
When we got there Team Aqua held up the Weather Institute and started terrorizing the folks inside the building with the threat of wrecking the equipment if they didn't get the chance to make an announcement via TV program.
Great, so they hijacked a Weather station just to make an announcement to the world about how evil they are; sickening...
I had Smeagol sneak up on some of the grunts to take them by surprise, as he did, me, Kamina, and Venus rolled in to take them out.
Unfortunately for us, they had Pester Balls on hand and gassed everyone in the building, including some of their own teammates.
The admins escaped in a minisub that took off down Route 119 to Fortree City.
Barely able to see, I sent Kamina after the minisub posthaste to make sure those criminal scum couldn't get away, I myself had to stay behind as I had to help Venus up to wash her eyes out, along with the people who got maced.
Roughly a few moments late, Kamina came back with the Aqua admins cuffed and gagged on one shoulder, and on his other, there was a Milotic, she was hurt pretty badly and worn out.
After reporting the Aqua members to the police, we headed back to Fortree City's Pokemon Center to get this Milotic all fixed up, Kamina seems quite worried about her.
I asked him just what had happened back there and he told me that Team Aqua made him slow down his chase when they had tossed the Milotic into some thorny and poisonous bushes.
I could tell he was really mad at Team Aqua, as I could see he beat them over the head a couple of times while dragging them back to get arrested.
I told him that her injuries weren't life threatening, nor was the poison in the bush wasn't nearly enough to kill her, it'd leave a nasty rash, but that's it.
Kamina calmed down a little bit after I told him that.
The nurse of the Center told us the the Milotic as okay and asked us if we'd like to see her.
Kamina stood right up and wanted to see if she was alright, and like I told him, she was fine, just relaxing and letting the meds do their job.
She sat up and gave Kamina a kiss as thank you for rescuing her, and did the same for me as she knew I was Kamina's trainer.
I could see Kamina's face glow bright red as Venus and Smeagol teased him behind his back.
Curious about the Milotic, I asked her for her name.
Siren was her name, a fitting name seeing how my Uncle Spencer told me stories about how Milotic would lead sailors out of storms with their songs.
And yes, i know "Sirens" are supposed to lead sailors to their doom, but Milotics act as guides.
She then told me about how Team Aqua treated her, again, much like most Pokemon who escape either Team Aqua, or Team Magma, they all were badly mistreated, basically used as slaves to do work the humans are too lazy to do themselves.
But, seeing how Siren is a Milotic, someone did love her, her previous trainer was a minor Team Aqua member herself, but mainly participated in Pokemon Contests when she was a Feebas; they won many ribbons.
Sadly, Team Aqua higher-ups took Siren way when she was fully evolved, and used her singing voice to "boost morale" when they're needed the overwork Pokemon to do more tasks...
Siren tried to escape many times, but was beaten worse and worse every time she tried, as punishment, they forced tattoos on her body to "mark her" just in case she slipped away.
Kamina was getting upset and, he grabbed Siren's hand, got down on his knees and promised that he'd protect her from this day forth and looked back at me asking me to have join us.
Now at this point, I reminded Kamina that Siren does have a trainer herself, and I wanted to reunite them back together, but then Siren spoke up as her trainer was jailed, as she was used as an "Scapegoat" and thanks to all of the awful things both teams did, she wasn't going to be let out anytime soon.
Well... Seeing how Siren was in the same boat as Venus was, I said what the heck and let in as apart of my team.
Kamina almost squeezed the life out of me, and then rushed back over to Siren and gave her a kiss on the lips, I think it's safe to say that my turtley friend had found the love of his life; good thing I fixed him, because they banged that very same night...

Although Kamina said he'd protect Siren, that's not to say she is weak, oh no.
Siren's water powers are phenomenal, they way her body moves and sways through the water; it's like the water is an extension of her body.
Especially in battles, she is the fastest Pokemon on my team, she can keep water around her and toss it at her opponents with frightenly amazing accuracy.
Plus, with the fact she can use attract to make her opponents confused and dazed in love, hell it's so effective, that it have worked on a few female Pokemon believe it or not.
She is definitely a treat in Pokemon Battles.
As for contests... do I even have to explain?
She holds the record for most Beauty Ribbons held by any Pokemon.
However, as of recently, she has gained a bit of a rival in my bone head friend's shiny Charizard, Tenka.
One day Rich and Tenka decided to compete in a contest, and well, Tenka actually ended up winning... Siren was a little, upset to say the least, but she had got over it, as Tenka generously gave the ribbon to Siren as Tenka only competed for fun.
Being a diva, Siren refused it out of Tenka's pity for her and promises to win it back fair and square.
As for her ranger duties, she is mainly used for underwater rescue, mainly accompanying Kamina.
As one more final note about Siren, as much as she loves the water, she has tan, yes, Siren loved the tanned look so much that she started tanning herself in the nude with the intense rays of the sun.
I find it odd that a sea serpent would like to get a tan, but I won't tell her what she can and can't do, after all I think she looks quite good with her tan.
