The Taguel Must Live

Description

Well, I've seem to have gotten over my small little funk, so let's have a picture.
I don't know if I've stated it or not, but man do I love Fire Emblem, it's probably one of my more favorite recent Nintendo franchises I've stumbled into.
I remember buying Fire Emblem Awakening on the whim of a friend telling me "It's a good game" and boy, I do not regret my decision at all, as I'm pretty hooked into this series.
With Fire Emblem Fates coming out in North America this week on February 19th, I decided to give a send off to the game by drawing a picture of my Avatar character and his family in the game.

So let's start out with the first character to the left, my Avatar character named Richter.
Although all of the avatars start out as Tacticians, you can reclass them into (almost) any class in the game.
In my game, Richter was set to the most broken class in Awakening, the Sorcerers, who are Mages that focus in use regular Fire, Wind, and Thunder tomes, but also gain the use of Dark Tomes.
Since he was that class when I stopped playing, that what I drew him as.
To Richter's right is the woman I choose to be my wife in the game, that being Panne, the last of the Taguel.
Panne is a unique class called the Taguel, who are beastly Were-Rabbits that can transform in battle by using Braststons, they are incredibly powerful in the strength department.
There are a nice pick of females for to become "Waifus" but I picked Panne because I found her to be the most useful to the way I play, and she is the last of her kind, I just couldn't let the Taguel die out.
And they didn't have to because we had two kids.
underneath Panne is her child, her son Yarne, who is a half breed of Taguel and Human, but as you can see he looks more like his mother.
Yarne too can transform into his beast from using a Beaststone like his mother can.
However, in the game, I made Yarne become a Dark Knight, which work out excellent for him to save our hides if things got ugly on his horse.
And finally, we have Richter's daughter, Morgan who is a half breed like her older brother is, but she looks more human, just slightly hairier.
Morgan started out as a Taguel like her mother was, but as the game when on, I reclassed her to be a Grandmaster of the army, in order to fight along her big brother with Swords and Tombs, only minus the horse.

Now for the picture itself.
So, this is my first time drawing all of these characters, again, I'm more of an anthro artist, so when it comes to humans, I'm a little rusty.
However, I tried my damnedest to emulate the anime like art style that Fire Emblem has taken with Awakening.
I apologize if a few details are off, but I did the best I could with all the reference I had with the game itself and the Fire Emblem Wikia I used.
Both Richter and Panne where kind of a pain to work with.
The Soccer outfit in Awakening is very flowy and has detailing in the trims of the outfit.
As for Panne, her armor is kind intercit with smaller details.
Not to mention how her rabbit ears get braided into her two pigtails, that was probably the one thing that gave me the more problem in this picture.
As for Yarne and Morgan, making them into kids was easy, however, trying to reference what class they'd grow up into was difficult.
For Yarne, I added the Dark Knight's breastplate on him as well as the blue capes they wear.
Morgan would become a Grandmaster, so I mainly drew a smaller coat on her to represent that.
Also, Morgan's in game portrait makes he look more like the Avatar's base class of Tactician, but since Panne is her mother, and her starting class was a Taguel, I decided to make her look more beastlike in the same vain as Panne and Yarne.
The coloring on this piece didn't take nearly as long as I thought it would, which surprised me pleasantly, but the coloring mixing did take it's toll on me, as I was making sure everything looked as good as I could possibly make it.
Also, hopefully the shading looks soft enough compared to Awakening's art style.

And for one last little fun fact, I'll talk about who Morgan and Yarne married in the game.
Yarne married Nah, whose parents were Nowi and Lon'qu.
As for Morgan, she married Owain, his parents are Lissa and Virion.
So that makes Richter and Panne inlaws to my 2nd favorite couple in the game, but also royalty to Ylisse.

Overall, I'm pleased with this picture, I didn't know if this was going to look as good as I thought it was, but I surprised myself with how good it looked in the end.
I mainly drew this to give some love to Panne, who is sadly one of the least popular character in Awakening, that and to show my love to Fire Emblem Awakening as a whole.
I will do the same for my Fates avatar, Mitsuo and his family when I beat Fire Emblem Fates: Birthright.
Oh boy, those Nohr soldiers with make excellent corpses.

It's good to see you getting ready to enjoy the new Fire Emblem game, Ink Heart.  I've never been into Fire Emblem but I'm sure that if I had the chance, I'm almost sure I'd like it.

But anyway, this pic with your Avatar in the game, you keep improving with your human anatomy and coloring, keep it up!
